There are four equip slots: weapons, armor, other, accessory. Whenever you pick up an equipable item (by walking on it), you need to click on it in your inventory to equip it. To unequip &/or drop an item, press the red X on top of the slot. You need to have a weapon equipped to be able to shoot your projectile. To shoot projectiles, right-click or *Press i to toggle fire projectiles*. To use potions/gold, press on it in the inventory. Land Of Might also has a store where you can exchange gold for potions (Ctrl + press buy to max buy potions) and low-level items. Press R to be sent back to the spawn (only works if alive). Press R to suicide in hell. Land Of Might is a MMO/Massively multiplayer web-game with no sign-up required. This being said, do not use any offensive usernames. Do not attempt to cheat, do not farm entities (sitting in one spot in order to get hundreds of entities to spawn), etc. There will be monthly competitions, so join the Discord for more info.
Player Stats
In Land Of Might there are seven different stats, each providing their own unique attributes:
- Speed: Determines how fast the player moves. Max: 10 potions (too much speed can be a bad thing).
- Dexterity: Determines how fast the player projectile moves/how far it will go. Max: 20 potions.
- Defence: Acts like a buffer between projectile damage and damage received (each potion increases defence by +100).
- Attack: Multiplies player's projectile damage. Max: 100 potions (each potion adds 10 attack).
- Vitality: Determines rate of healing and is used to determine if you will survive a fatal projectile.
- Blood: Health/damage type that determines mortality (red circles/particles) appear when this type of damage is taken (+1,000 per potion).
- Body: Main health type that determines when the player is dead (black circles/particles) appear when this type of damage is taken (+10,000 per potion).
Might is collected after the player defeats an entity. Depending on how strong the entity is, they will receive a corresponding amount of might. Might is used to compare who the most powerful player on the server is, as well as payment for traveling through the underworld.
Death
In Land Of Might dying is relatively complicated. There are two kinds of health as noted above, body and blood. Blood represents "Mortality", while Body represents the actual condition of your "Body". For example, you could be stabbed in the chest, killing you, while your actual body is still intact. In Land Of Might, we have "Blunt" and "Cut" damage. Different entities do different kinds of damage. Red particles/circles represent when you receive Cut damage, and black when you receive Blunt damage. When you have been struck by a projectile that will critically wound you, a RNG calculation is performed to determine what will happen next. If you are struck by a projectile doing more cut/blunt damage than you have in blood/body, your vitality will be compared to you Dexterity*Attack. This means the higher your offensive ability, the less likely you are to survive. Once you are struck by a projectile dealing cut damage, and determined to not have survived, you are then Undead. The Grim Reaper will awaken and send you to the underworld (literally). You will be given the choice to spend 10,000 Might to cross the "darkness" (which will destroy the player's body upon contact). If the player's body is destroyed again, they will be sent to hell, and from then on, each time their body is destroyed, they will lose 1/2 of their max body until they have less than 100, and from there the game will end & the player's character will be lost.
Land Of Might/Underworld/Hell
There are three lands: the land of might, the underworld, and hell. Each land has its own unique entities. The land of might is the land where the player is initially spawned, in this land various kinds of NPC's spawn. The player will initially spawn in a village where only friendly NPC's spawn, if they go up/down the map they will reach a grassland/forest/desert where various kinds of weak entities spawn (depending on location). As the player moves farther from the village the entities get stronger, with entities at the bottom of the map being the strongest. Entities at the top of the map are weaker, but still much stronger than those found in the forest/desert. At the top/bottom of the map there are portals to the Underworld and Hell. The first time the player dies, they will be sent to the Underworld. In the underworld, apparitions will soon begin spawning (some passive), and attacking the player. The player will need to spend 10,000 might to cross the darkness & so that they can make their way through the underworld. As they move through the underworld stronger apparitions begin spawning, at the far end of the underworld there is a portal which will transport them back to the land of might. If the player's body is destroyed in the underworld, they are sent to hell. All entities that die in the land of might/underworld are sent to hell. Hell is a vast land full of demons and those damned (both friendly and hostile), there is a portal that leads to the land of might at the far end of hell. The demons spawned in hell are extremely strong, so running is the easiest way to escape. The deeper you go into hell, the stronger the demons as well as Satan who guards the far reaches of hell. Every time the player dies in hell, they lose 1/2 of their max body, until they have less than 100 max body left. At this point, the character will be deleted and the player will need to restart / GAME OVER.
Entities
Land Of Might has over 100 unique entities, roughly 2/3 are hostile, with the rest being passive. Passive entities will attack only hostile entities as well as the player if provoked. Hostile entities will attack other hostile entities, friendly entities, and the player. Once an entity defeats another, it becomes stronger, depending on the entity defeated. Any time an entity is defeated it will randomly drop items, potions, and/or gold and be sent to hell.
